Our purpose

Why this conference matters

The National HREC Conference is now in its 7th year. This years sees the reach of the Conference extending to Singapore, making it truly the 1st Australasian HREC Conference. Through its reach it is uniquely placed to help improve quality and consistency of approaches to ethics review, thereby assisting researchers while maintaining its primary function of ensuring participant dignity, respect and safety. It brings together thousands of stakeholders such as committee members, coordinators, researchers and sector leaders to explore current challenges, share practical insights and build stronger connections across the region.

The Conference is again free and online, making participation more accessible and democratising knowledge transfer, while supporting meaningful exchange between attendees in Australia, Aotearoa New Zealand and Singapore.
